Robotics Is Awesome!

The team went up to Parker's Prairie Elementary School to help with their Robotics Week. The title is a quote from an elementary student.

A group of about 20 students have been meeting regularly for the last 2 months. All of their work and learning has led up to this week when the students are going to show off their robots for the whole school. Each team (2-4 students) was tasked with "THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGE". This included driving up to walls, stopping, turning, following a line, spinning in circles, and many other tasks. It was quite the challenge!

The day started with a short presentation by the team about our robotics program. There was definitely some improvisation but it all worked out in the end. After that, each of our team members split up and started working with a group of students. The students knowledge was pretty incredible, plus they liked showing off a little. The energy of our team combined with the confidence we gave the elementary students made for a potent mix. Everyone had HUGE smiles on their faces all day! It really was a great success for everyone involved. Some team members went to Culver's after to celebrate a great day.

Our team truly believes in spreading the power of STEM education and robotics out to wider audiences. Days like today make that really easy. What a great day with robots.
