Today, FRC Team 3313 Mechatronics visited Lincoln Elementary School in Alexandria, MN. We had a fantastic time, however we arrived for the presentation an hour early. After waiting for our presentation to begin, we to presented to the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. They were all very enthusiastic to learn about FIRST Robotics. Each team member presented a slide in our Elementary School Presentation. Then, we allowed the students to load and shoot Frisbees with our robot.
After school ended, we stayed longer to give a brief presentation to students in Compass, an after school program. Spending a few hours with elementary students was exhausting, but this public outreach event continues to be our favorite event. We are always well received with the smiling faces of the students.
